Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Architectural CAD Technician to provide construction documentation support to our Architecture team. This role corresponds to an AIA Architectural staff level I (non-licensed) position, involving the preparation of precise, coordinated construction drawings under the guidance of a Project Architect or Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed construction documents such as plans, sections, details, and schedules using Revit software.
- Ensure drawings comply with established standards, building codes, and system requirements.
- Coordinate architectural plans with engineering teams and external consultants.
- Incorporate quality assurance and project team feedback into drawings.
- Assist with construction administration tasks including revising drawings and clarifying documentation.
- Utilize Bluebeam for efficient plan review and collaboration.
- Independently measure and document existing site conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Between 4 and 6 years of technical experience in an architectural or A/E environment.
- Previous experience working under a Project Architect or Project Manager on multidisciplinary projects.
- Proficiency in Revit for construction documentation.
- Strong skills in detailing, building codes, construction standards, and methods.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
- Adept at handling multiple assignments simultaneously both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with AutoCAD software.
- Experience with both new construction and renovation projects.
- Knowledge of wood frame, masonry veneer, and steel construction techniques.
- Exposure to Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and rendering tools such as Lumion, Twinmotion, Enscape, or V-Ray.
Additional Information
Location: Northborough, Massachusetts, requiring reliable commuting or relocation prior to starting. This role offers a potential hybrid work model combining in-office and remote work contingent on business needs.
Compensation: The hourly pay for this position ranges approximately from $26.78 to $31.42. Actual salary may vary due to experience, location, education, and skills. Pay reviews occur annually and adjustments are made for role advancement and licensure.
