About the Role
Dream Unlimited Corp. is seeking a dedicated Cyber Security Analyst to join their Technology Team in Toronto. This role offers broad exposure to cybersecurity and technology infrastructure, including daily interaction with AI technologies and opportunities to own key systems and initiatives that protect the business. The position requires occasional after-hours availability for change facilitation or cyber-incident response.
Job Responsibilities
- Investigate cybersecurity alerts and incidents utilizing various tools and technologies.
- Serve as daily liaison with the external Security Operations Centre (SOC) provider, managing escalations, detection tuning, and performance reviews.
- Audit and review security tools and configurations, providing improvement recommendations.
- Configure and test security platforms as directed by senior leadership.
- Take proactive ownership of specific security systems and processes to drive continuous improvement.
- Identify and create automation for repetitive security tasks.
- Utilize AI tools for triage, analysis, reporting, and refining processes, promoting safe and effective use within the team.
- Support data security initiatives including data classification, data loss prevention, access governance, and protecting sensitive information in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Collaborate with technology teams to deploy security technologies, policies, and settings.
- Develop and update security reports and alert mechanisms collaboratively.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities that could compromise data integrity.
- Document and establish security standards and policies.
- Work with cloud security and automation technologies.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Cybersecurity Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to solve intermediate to advanced tech problems effectively.
- Experience or strong familiarity with AI-based tools, understanding their advantages, limitations, and security implications.
- Interest or experience in automating security and operational workflows using scripting or low-code platforms.
- Knowledge of data security principles and tools such as classification, DLP, encryption, and access management.
- Experience working with outsourced or managed security operation providers is advantageous.
- Familiarity with standard and next-generation endpoint detection and response (EDR) and antivirus products.
- Understanding of Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) technologies.
- Exposure to Microsoft Cloud offerings including Azure and Office 365.
- Competency in Microsoft Office suite tools like Word, Excel, and Visio.
- Skill in reviewing and analyzing log files to extract pertinent information.
- Working knowledge of networking technologies and IoT devices with associated security risks.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits
This full-time, permanent position offers a base salary ranging from 65000 to 80000 CAD annually.
