Job Overview

This position targets recent graduates or professionals with up to one year of experience aspiring to build a career in data analytics. The role involves collaborating with various business units within the International Card Services (ICS) sector in Australia and New Zealand to provide analytical support that enhances business decisions and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Extract, transform, and analyze data to answer business-related inquiries and uncover customer behavior, market trends, and potential business opportunities.
Create precise customer segments for campaigns focused on marketing, acquisition, and loyalty aligning with strategic objectives.
Conduct ad hoc analyses and communicate insights to facilitate informed business decisions and initiatives.
Design, maintain, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI and Tableau software.
Automate routine reporting workflows to enhance operational efficiency and minimize manual tasks.
Monitor critical business indicators and deliver performance reports to relevant stakeholders.
Employ SQL for data extraction and preparation essential for reporting and analysis.
Validate data quality and ensure consistency in reports to maintain accuracy.
Document and maintain reporting methodologies and analytical resources.
Engage with stakeholders to comprehend reporting needs and translate them into practical analytical solutions.
Present data-driven findings effectively to both technical teams and non-expert audiences.
Collaborate across departments to ensure delivery of high-standard analytical output.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Commerce, Economics, or similar quantitative fields.
Proficiency in SQL and strong capabilities in analytical problem-solving.
Experience with Excel for data analysis and compilation of reports.
Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Python, or other analytics and data visualization tools through academic, internship, or project experiences is preferred.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Meticulous attention to detail combined with good organizational and time management skills.
Inquisitive mindset fueled by a passion for leveraging data to address business challenges.
Experience using AI-powered tools like ChatGPT or Copilot enhances candidacy.
