Job description

About the Position

Located in Brendale, Queensland, this full-time role involves managing the daily allocation of trucks and drivers for various projects. The position demands upholding exemplary safety, compliance, and customer service standards while optimizing fleet deployment.

Working Hours

  • Week 1: 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Week 2: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Periodic Saturday operational support is required, performed remotely on a rotational basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily truck and driver assignments.
  • Develop and manage daily as well as weekly transport schedules.
  • Maximize utilization of the vehicle fleet.
  • Manage driver availability and handle reallocations as needed.
  • Engage subcontractor services as required.
  • Collaborate actively with workshop teams.
  • Communicate schedules effectively to drivers.
  • Address client requests promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) standards, and fatigue management policies.
  • Handle incident management and disruptions caused by weather.
  • Maintain accurate records and produce reports regularly.
  • Support onboarding programs and conduct toolbox meetings.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Prior experience in roles such as Transport Allocator, Fleet Allocator, or Logistics Coordinator.
  • Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility, NHVR guidelines, and fatigue management regulations.
  • Proficiency with scheduling and transport management systems.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.
