AI Change Lead

Role Overview

This role, based in New Zealand, is an opportunity to act as an AI Change Lead overseeing a large-scale international AI adoption and transformation initiative. Working remotely, you will be the driving force behind designing and implementing change strategies that empower both employees and leadership to integrate AI technologies efficiently and confidently into daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Crafting and continuously updating the AI Change Strategy alongside a comprehensive transformation narrative and employee adoption plans.
• Engaging stakeholders through proactive relationship building with senior leaders and essential business partners.
• Developing and orchestrating communications including messaging frameworks, FAQs, engagement resources, and other content to support AI adoption.
• Managing AI governance processes such as leadership forums, decision documentation, tracking of actions, and implementation follow-ups.
• Facilitating the implementation of learning pathways to enhance employee skills, confidence, and usage of AI tools.
• Planning and executing a major AI-centric corporate event that aligns with the program’s objectives and fosters robust engagement.
• Founding and nurturing an AI Champions Community to promote AI advocacy, participation, and adoption throughout the organization.
• Monitoring project risks, challenges, dependencies, and decisions, escalating issues as needed.
• Producing regular progress reports on program advancements, adoption rates, stakeholder involvement, and measurable outcomes.
• Collaborating intensively with cross-functional teams from Learning, Communications, Technology, and Business units to ensure a unified approach to the AI transformation.

Candidate Requirements

• Substantial prior experience as a Change Lead, Change Manager, Transformation Lead, or in a similar organizational change capacity.
• Demonstrated background in organizational change management, digital transformation, technology adoption, or AI adoption programs.
• Proven expertise in crafting change strategies, adoption frameworks, and communication campaigns.
• Exceptional skills in stakeholder engagement and communication, confident in influencing senior management.
• Solid governance experience encompassing risk, issue, dependency, and decision management.
• Expertise in designing and supporting employee learning, training, and adoption initiatives.
• Experience in creating and managing communities, networks of champions, or large-scale engagement efforts.
• Capability to work effectively in complex, global, and cross-functional environments.
• Strong organizational and planning aptitude with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Experience related to AI transformation in regulated sectors, such as pharmaceuticals, is advantageous.
• A collaborative, proactive mindset willing to adapt and translate complex transformation goals into clear, engaging employee experiences.
