About the Role
Tata Consultancy Services is recruiting for the position of Active Directory Specialist based in Kolkata. This role requires an extensive understanding of Active Directory (AD) and Azure AD (Entra ID), including AD architecture and a wide range of associated technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, manage, and optimize Active Directory environments including Group Policy creation, multi-domain integration, and migration activities.
- Administer AD-integrated DNS, handle operational level upgrades, and apply automation through scripting for AD object management.
- Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting expertise for Group Policy across local workstations and servers.
- Manage Azure AD tools such as AzureAD and ADConnect, ensuring seamless integration and synchronization.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding AD environment management, updating as necessary.
- Serve as a liaison to project teams to facilitate smooth transitions of new applications and systems dependent on AD into production.
- Evaluate and propose improvements to enhance the global AD infrastructure’s performance and security.
- Plan and execute migration strategies, specifically to Server 2019 Domain Functional Level.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong expertise in Active Directory 2019, including LDAP, directory replication, group policies, security schemas, and related infrastructure.
- Deep familiarity with DNS, Kerberos authentication, Windows authentication, and Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML authentication protocols.
- Proficiency with Azure AD (Entra ID), AzureAD Connect, and ADFS technologies including troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experience in Certificate Services management within AD environments.
- Understanding of supporting technologies such as Network Policy Server (NPS), DHCP, F5 Load Balancing, and their integration with AD.
