About the Role
We are seeking an Accountant specializing in General Ledger to join our Financial Services department based in Rushmere. This role offers diverse responsibilities with significant involvement in group reporting, technical accounting tasks, and participation in cross-functional projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Assist with group reporting and manage necessary financial disclosures.
- Deliver insightful analysis on key financial aspects such as revenue, expenditures, and asset management.
- Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities including control processes, audits, and statutory reporting.
Qualifications and Experience
- Professional certification as a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience.
- Solid understanding of technical accounting principles, preferably with knowledge of IFRS and desirable experience in US GAAP.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and familiarity with ERP systems, with SAP experience considered advantageous.
