Role Overview
Acumen GPS India is looking for an accounts professional to manage day-to-day bookkeeping, statutory compliance, and reconciliation work from its Delhi-NCR location. The role covers core accounting, GST return preparation, e-commerce marketplace accounting, and support for audits and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain books of accounts in Tally Prime and keep routine accounting records up to date.
- Prepare and submit GST returns, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and related reconciliations.
- Create and track sales invoices, tax invoices, credit notes, and debit notes.
- Post daily accounting entries such as journal entries and bank entries.
- Carry out bank reconciliation as well as vendor and customer ledger reconciliation.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Handle accounting for e-commerce operations across Amazon, Flipkart, and similar marketplaces.
- Match marketplace settlements, commissions, returns, refunds, and payment statements.
- Maintain organized purchase and sales documentation and supporting records.
- Support TDS computations and other statutory compliance tasks.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports and basic financial statements.
- Work with auditors, Chartered Accountants, and management during audits and compliance reviews.
- Keep financial files and accounting records properly filed and easy to retrieve.
- Assist with payroll accounting and other finance-related assignments as needed.
Required Skills
- Practical knowledge of Tally Prime
- GST return filing and compliance
- E-commerce accounting and marketplace reconciliation
- Advanced Excel usage, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Understanding of TDS and bank reconciliation
- Financial reporting and MIS preparation
- Attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Good written and verbal communication
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Compensation
The position offers a stipend/salary of INR 15,000 to INR 18,000 per month.
Additional Information
This role includes handling statutory work, reconciliation-heavy accounting tasks, and coordination with external auditors and internal stakeholders. The job is based in Delhi-NCR.
