Accountant

About the Role

Aarunya Ventures is seeking a meticulous and skilled Accountant to oversee daily accounting operations within our FMCG distribution business. The role demands a candidate well-versed in accounting practices, taxation, and ERP software, capable of operating autonomously in a dynamic environment.

Key Activities

• Generate bills and invoices using SAP and Tally software.
• Keep financial records and books of accounts precise and up-to-date.
• Handle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes efficiently.
• Prepare, file, and ensure compliance with GST returns.
• Manage TDS deductions, file returns, and adhere to statutory regulations.
• Conduct bank and ledger reconciliations regularly.
• Liaise with auditors, Chartered Accountants, banks, and suppliers.
• Process payments from customers and to vendors promptly.
• Compile MIS reports and assist with the monthly and annual financial closures.
• Ensure full adherence to all relevant accounting and tax laws.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related discipline.
• Have between 3 to 7 years of accounting experience, preferably within FMCG or distribution sectors.
• Proficient in SAP and Tally accounting software.
• Sound understanding of GST, TDS, accounting principles, and compliance requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical capability, precise, and detail-focused.
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
