Accountant

Overview

ASIA Prime General Contracting Co. L.L.C. is looking to add an Accountant to its team in Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates. This role sits within a main contracting environment and focuses on keeping financial records accurate, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and helping ensure compliance with internal controls and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep accounting records complete and up to date, including general ledger postings.
• Handle support tasks for both payables and receivables.
• Draft journal entries, account reconciliations, and simple financial statements or reports.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing work.
• Work with different internal teams to gather and verify financial documents.
• Assist with information and documentation needed for internal as well as external audits.
• Follow company policies and financial control requirements carefully.

Qualifications

• A recognized professional accounting credential such as CA, CMA, ACCA, or CPA is required.
• Applicants should have 6 to 7 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Background in the contracting sector, especially Civil or MEP, is highly desirable.
• Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals and financial workflows is expected.
• Comfort using ERP software and Microsoft Office tools, with advanced Excel ability.
• Clear English communication and a polished, professional work style are important.
