Role Overview
The Account Executive is a client-focused sales professional dedicated to fostering long-term relationships and driving growth within assigned large enterprise territories. This role involves working closely with C-level executives to deeply understand their critical business priorities and ensure they derive maximum value from Gartner's offerings, while also identifying opportunities to expand services through cross-selling and upselling.
Key Responsibilities
- Maximize the value delivered to existing Gartner clients by ensuring they fully benefit from available services.
- Identify and nurture new sales opportunities within the client base, driving account growth through cross-sell and upsell initiatives.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of high-quality sales prospects to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Manage quota attainment and forecasting for the designated territory on monthly, quarterly, and annual cadences.
- Handle high-value, complex sales processes within diverse and matrixed organizational environments.
Requirements
- Between 5 to 8+ years of experience in B2B sales, ideally within complex and intangible product or service environments.
- Proven experience engaging with and influencing senior-level executives, including C-level.
- Demonstrated history of consistently achieving or surpassing sales goals.
- Strong capability in managing end-to-end complex sales cycles, including forecasting and account management.
- Flexibility to travel as necessary to meet client and business needs.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
