Accommodation Personnel - Hotel Services

About the Role

Blackrock Health Galway Clinic is currently seeking applicants for full-time positions in their accommodation department within the hotel services team. These roles focus on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout assigned areas, including patient bedrooms, while supporting the hospital's primary focus on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in allocated areas such as patient rooms and wards.
• Change ward curtains and bed screens when necessary.
• Ensure a safe working environment at all times.
• Participate in thorough deep cleaning exercises regularly.
• Handle and store chemicals safely according to protocols.
• Monitor and maintain all equipment in good working order and report any faults promptly.
• Perform some heavy lifting tasks as required by job duties.
• Collect and remove soiled linen and transport it to designated collection points.

Candidate Profile

• Prior relevant experience is advantageous but on-the-job training will be provided.
• Commitment to upholding the principle that patient care is the highest priority, approaching tasks with flexibility and enthusiasm.
• Proficient command of the English language.
• Strict adherence to hospital policies regarding discretion and confidentiality involving patients, their families, and colleagues.
• Strong team player who works professionally and collaboratively.
