About the internship
This remote internship is focused on helping a UK-based HR consultancy grow its client base through structured outbound and inbound sales support. You will work on prospect research, lead generation, outreach, client qualification, and sales coordination while supporting the wider consulting team with client-facing materials and follow-ups.
What you will do
- Research potential clients and build a qualified sales pipeline through networking, outreach, and market scanning.
- Reach out to prospects through email, LinkedIn, and phone calls to create interest and generate leads.
- Screen prospects by learning about their HR pain points, budget range, and buying process.
- Arrange introductory and discovery meetings and help senior consultants prepare for them.
- Draft short briefing notes, client summaries, and post-meeting notes.
- Support the creation of customised proposals, pricing structures, and service packages.
- Keep CRM records current with lead details, conversations, and pipeline status.
- Maintain regular follow-ups so prospects continue moving through the sales journey.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as HR, legal, and marketing to ensure client requirements are aligned.
- Assist in converting interested leads into signed agreements and smooth onboarding.

Experience and other requirements
- 0 to 2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a client-facing role; internship exposure is acceptable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, plus good interpersonal ability.
- Capability to research companies and spot new business opportunities.
- Basic understanding of B2B sales and consultative selling methods.
- Comfort with outreach through cold emails, LinkedIn, and calls, including handling rejection professionally.
- Strong organisation skills to manage multiple leads and follow-ups.
- Self-driven attitude with ownership of targets and pipeline growth.
- Interest in HR, consulting, or professional services is preferred.
- Familiarity with CRM software, Google Workspace, or similar tools is an added advantage.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt based on feedback.
Compensation and perks
The internship offers a stipend of INR 5,000 to INR 30,000 per month. Additional benefits include a certificate, a letter of recommendation, and flexible working hours.
