Role Overview
This position, based in Auckland or Wellington, is vital to our Transport team. The Transport Freight Rating & Master Data Specialist will collaborate with internal teams and freight customers to maintain accurate freight rating structures, billing records, and master data across various systems. This role supports the financial accuracy of freight transportation by assuring precise billing and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update customer freight rate and master data within transport systems.
- Conduct billing validations, freight rating checks, and invoice processing activities.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries related to billing, shipments, and freight rates.
- Support yearly rate evaluations and ensure ongoing data accuracy and integrity.
- Generate detailed reports and identify opportunities to enhance processes and operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is meticulous, enjoys working with data and problem-solving, and delivers precise, quality work consistently. Relevant experience may come from freight, supply chain, finance, master data, or other industries. Strong communication, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset in issue resolution are essential.
Requirements
- High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in invoice processing, billing, or managing complex data sets.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and data analysis capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, organize well, and handle multiple priorities efficiently.
- A mindset geared toward continuous improvement and enhancing processes, reports, and data quality.
