Role Overview

We are seeking a Trainee Microbiology Analyst for a permanent, full-time position based in Kinsale, Ireland. The role involves working a biweekly rotating schedule of 11-hour shifts (8:00 AM to 8:00 PM) as follows: Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday; Week 2 - Wednesday, Thursday. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and specialized microbiological testing, accurately preparing and approving results within your expertise.
• Report any unusual or out-of-specification findings promptly following Eurofins and client protocols.
• Maintain precise laboratory documentation, including training and quality records, ensuring all tasks meet quality standards and are completed correctly the first time.
• Engage in training to stay updated with current methods and assist in mentoring junior team members.
• Provide excellent customer service by understanding client demands, managing queries effectively, and escalating issues appropriately.
• Support laboratory operations through verification processes, consumable management, updating procedures, investigations, and cover for colleagues including weekend and overtime work.
• Adhere to strict safety, cleanliness, quality, and continuous improvement practices to foster a dependable and high-performing laboratory environment.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical lab environment with solid knowledge of compliance and quality standards.
• Exceptional organizational abilities and high precision when handling multiple tasks.
• Strong documentation expertise ensuring accurate and comprehensive record-keeping.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team and contribute to collective goals.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic laboratory setting.
• Passion for quality, customer satisfaction, and excellent communication to engage professionally with colleagues and clients.
