Trainee Manager

Overview

We are looking for a Trainee Manager to assist the management team in overseeing the store's daily operations, while obtaining comprehensive experience across various departments within the store.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 1 year of retail experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Word
• Familiarity with cash handling and till balancing is advantageous
• Experience working with fresh food products
• Strong communication abilities
• Effective delegation skills
• Highly motivated with a strong professional ethic
• Understanding of commercial practices and brand recognition
• Enthusiastic about grocery retail
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold Centra’s brand values: Pride, Energy, Imagination, and Community focus
• Collaborate with the team to set, track, and meet sales goals focusing on gross profit margin, net margin, waste, and other agreed KPIs with the Store Manager
• Engage fully in training programs and performance evaluations
• Ensure the store's presentation and merchandising conform to high standards, adhering to planograms and guidelines
• Implement planograms accurately and maintain the correct product assortment
• Develop competencies in ordering, delivery, stock rotation, and stock control procedures
• Manage assigned departments effectively
• Be proactive in adopting new initiatives and embracing innovative work methods

Additional Information

The position is based at Centra Ballinteer Road. Ideal applicants will also have at least 2 years of retail experience, a good grasp of food safety protocols, outstanding customer service skills, and the ability to quickly adjust to changing customer demands.
