Role Overview
This position calls for a full-time trailer driver based on-site in Umm Al Quwain. The primary responsibility involves the safe and timely transportation of tiles, slabs, and related items between company facilities, storage sites, and client locations. Duties include the loading and securing of freight, comprehensive vehicle inspections before and after trips, adherence to planned routes and schedules compliant with UAE traffic laws, and ensuring proper documentation of deliveries. The role requires coordination with logistics, warehouse, and project teams to maintain smooth material handling and operational accuracy. Additionally, the driver is expected to assist with minor vehicle maintenance tasks and represent the company professionally at client sites.
Candidate Requirements
- Proficient in driving trailers and heavy vehicles under UAE traffic conditions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of road safety standards, defensive driving practices, and regulatory adherence for transport operations.
- Experienced in route management, time allocation, and upkeep of delivery-related records.
- Capable of conducting vehicle inspections, recognizing mechanical concerns, and coordinating maintenance.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with warehouse personnel, project managers, and customers.
- Must hold a valid UAE heavy vehicle driving license and maintain a clean driving record.
- Previous employment in driving heavy vehicles or trailers within construction, logistics, or material supply sectors is advantageous.
- Physical ability to engage in labor-intensive activities, including loading and securing cargo and operating in outdoor environments.
- Basic proficiency in reading and writing to understand delivery instructions and complete documentation accurately.
