We are seeking a seasoned Tool Hire Assistant to join our vibrant team at the Redruth branch. This position is pivotal in providing customers with reliable, well-maintained equipment alongside exceptional service. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence as the role involves operating a 3.5-tonne van and trailer to deliver and retrieve customer orders.

Working Hours

This is a full-time position with shifts from Monday to Friday, either 07:00-16:30 or 07:30-17:00, and working alternate Saturdays from 08:00 to 12:00.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily tool hire operations, ensuring resources are deployed effectively and safely.
• Foster strong customer relations through frequent interactions that support team efforts and promote cross-selling to drive business growth.
• Deliver and collect tools and equipment punctually, guaranteeing order accuracy and adherence to safety during loading and unloading procedures.
• Assist branch colleagues by enhancing their tool hire knowledge and skills.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections to confirm tools and machinery are clean, safe, and fully functional.
• Maintain all necessary delivery documentation and accurate records.
• Inspect, test, and perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on various tools and small plant equipment such as breakers, saws, mixers, and access apparatus.
