Technician - Dewatering

Key Responsibilities

• Support the mining maintenance team to dewater the Wallaby mine efficiently and safely under the guidance of the Leading Hand: Electrical.
• Manage, install, repair, and monitor dewatering infrastructure such as diesel and electric pumps and associated site systems, adhering closely to organizational policies, statutory regulations, and safety protocols.
• Conduct mechanical repairs, servicing, and modifications to maximize equipment availability and operational efficiency.
• Execute preventative maintenance on underground dewatering systems.
• Perform fault diagnosis and repairs on damaged pumps and all related dewatering infrastructure.
• Maintain ancillary equipment to ensure consistent operation.
• Continuously assess and review maintenance processes, investigating and recommending the integration of modern technologies where appropriate.
• Organize and prioritize resources to manage unplanned work effectively throughout the week.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated experience in Fixed Plant Maintenance, preferably within an underground mining setting.
• Possess a valid Western Australia manual driver's license.
• Basic proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAP is considered beneficial.
• Understanding and application of relevant statutory requirements and safety regulations.
• Possession of additional certifications such as HR license, Crane, Dogging, Elevated Work Platform (EWP), and Forklift tickets is advantageous.

Work Arrangement

This position operates on a roster of 8 days on, 6 days off, followed by 7 nights on, 7 days off. The role is available as Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) from Perth or Drive-in Drive-out (DIDO) from the Goldfields region.
