Role Overview
We seek a hands-on, technically knowledgeable Project Manager with a proactive "get it done" attitude to lead the development, integration, and demonstration of cutting-edge communications and networking technologies. This role involves managing every facet of project execution, providing strategic leadership, and ensuring alignment with customer needs. Our projects support DoD tactical communications systems utilized by US Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps platforms, including tactical data links, line-of-sight and beyond line-of-sight radios, and IP data crossbanding.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high customer satisfaction through transparent communication, accountability, and proactive issue resolution
- Act as the principal liaison among customers, internal engineering teams, and executive leadership
- Engage directly with end users to gather operational requirements and insights
- Oversee project budget, schedule, and scope with flexibility to adapt to evolving demands
- Lead risk assessment, resource allocation, and performance monitoring
- Develop and refine project management methodologies tailored for a dynamic, high-growth startup environment
- Contribute to proposal preparation, project planning, and strategic expansion efforts
- Ensure compliance with Department of Defense security standards across system development and attributes
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- 7 to 10 years of experience in technical or engineering roles, including 2 to 5 years in project management
- Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to guide teams confidently and deliver objectives
- Educational background in engineering, systems management, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong organizational capabilities paired with excellent communication, presentation, and decision-making prowess
- Comfortable and adaptable within startup environments, capable of establishing necessary processes and structure
- Must be a United States citizen
- Current US SECRET security clearance or eligibility to obtain one

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a military officer or familiarity with operational/acquisition programs
- Knowledge of tactical data links (TDL), secure communications, or beyond line-of-sight systems
- Understanding of Department of Defense R&D lifecycle and processes
- Experience employing Agile or hybrid project management approaches in hardware and software development
- Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project and Jira; familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM)
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is from $120,000 to $160,000 annually.
