Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that EDD officers strictly follow established processes and policies.
- Prepare and submit timely reports highlighting significant discoveries and compliance gaps.
- Collaborate proactively with stakeholders to resolve identified concerns and foster a cooperative environment.
- Analyze trends and risk patterns to inform supervisors and aid in risk management.
- Monitor early warning indicators related to portfolio health and benchmark procedures against competition.
- Initiate recommendations for process improvements based on field insights and market dynamics.
- Engage with third-party vendors to enhance sample processing cycles and overall workflow efficiencies.
- Deliver training sessions, build team capabilities, and provide constructive feedback to both internal teams and vendors.
- Oversee and maintain quality standards in EDD case handling, ensuring all reviews comply fully with bank policies.
- Manage turnaround times to complete enhanced due diligence cases within prescribed deadlines.
- Identify and escalate high-risk accounts effectively.
- Foster excellent stakeholder communication to assure prompt resolution of issues.
- Lead and develop the team by boosting productivity, training, and mentorship.
- Conduct thorough customer onboarding and KYC verification, validating identity documentation and beneficial ownership for entities.
- Perform risk assessments of customer activities and assign risk ratings accordingly.
- Screen customer profiles, detect anomalies, investigate further as necessary, and document all findings meticulously.
- Coordinate directly with customers for information gathering and enhanced due diligence documentation.
- Liaise with vendors for report preparation and service coordination.
- Monitor and track alert closures with branches within defined timelines, maintaining detailed management information system (MIS) logs for review.
- Manage monthly performance reviews and organize workflow priority assignments within the team.
- Maintain productive relations with internal teams such as Transaction Monitoring, Liability Product Management, Branch Control Unit, Data Analysis, Technology, and Branch Leaders, along with external customers and vendors.
Additional Information
- Work schedule includes rotational shifts and a seven-day week with compensatory offs.
- Use of personal phones at the workplace is restricted, requiring phones to be kept in lockers during shifts.
