Job description
Role Overview
The Systems and Data Analyst plays a critical role in developing, maintaining, and delivering data-driven solutions supporting VAQ. As part of the Systems and Data Team, the analyst collaborates with the Lead Developer to facilitate proactive maintenance, resolve incidents, fulfill requests, and drive ongoing business improvements.
Key Duties
- Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot data analytics infrastructure to support VAQ's operations.
- Provide expert data design and analysis leveraging Power BI for dashboard reporting and visualization.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of VAQ processes, systems, and legislation to inform reporting solutions and guidance.
- Implement and uphold data governance frameworks, including consistent data quality standards, validation rules, data dictionaries, and audit protocols to ensure reliability and compliance.
- Identify and integrate new data sources, and enhance existing datasets to align with VAQ’s reporting requirements while preventing duplication or conflicts.
- Analyze data trends and prepare insightful reports using effective data storytelling and visualization techniques.
- Continuously enhance data analysis methodologies, tools, and processes for improved efficiency and scalability.
- Perform routine system administration, checks, and maintenance of VAQ systems.
- Ensure data integrity by following best practices in data management, including privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to enable collaborative project execution.
- Respond to and negotiate concerning data and reporting requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned while adhering to organizational standards and objectives.
