Job description

Position Overview

The Supply Chain Specialist focused on Data Management is responsible for ensuring the precision, integrity, and effective usage of supply chain-related data including master data such as materials, vendors, pricing structures, procurement and inventory transaction records along with performance reporting metrics. This specialist plays a pivotal role in constructing and sustaining a reliable data framework that supports decision-making processes for Supply Chain leadership, Finance, and Operations departments. The role also emphasizes promoting standardized data processes, enhancing data quality, and developing analytical dashboards spanning procurement, storage, and logistics activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and standardized master data across all supply chain areas including item codes, vendor details, price listings, and measurement units.
  • Create, develop, and oversee dashboards and reports tracking procurement expenditure, vendor performance, stock quantities, and contract lifecycle to inform both Supply Chain leadership and corporate stakeholders.
  • Aggregate and validate data sourced from ERP, procurement, and warehousing software platforms while resolving inconsistencies, duplicates, and other data quality concerns.
  • Assist with regular monthly and quarterly reporting requirements such as expenditure analysis, cost savings documentation, and KPI monitoring for Group Supply Chain and Finance units.
  • Continually improve data governance protocols, enforce naming conventions, and uphold data entry standards amongst supply chain teams and sector users.
  • Collaborate closely with IT and ERP teams on system updates, data migrations, and integration efforts impacting procurement, inventory, and logistics datasets.
  • Monitor contract expirations, vendor certification statuses, and compliance documentation, providing proactive alerts regarding renewals or risks.
  • Support performance evaluations by compiling and structuring historical data on vendor and category-based spending and delivery metrics.
  • Generate specialized data reports and analyses to assist bid preparation, tendering processes, and cost estimations in partnership with Business Development, Bidding, and Procurement units.
  • Automate repetitive data handling tasks and reporting workflows using advanced Excel techniques, Power Query, Power BI, or similar tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all supply chain data-related activities comply with organizational data governance policies, relevant Saudi regulations such as ZATCA e-invoicing, and internal audit standards.
  • Deliver training and first-level troubleshooting support for supply chain personnel on data entry best practices, reporting instruments, and system functionalities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
  • Between 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, or data analytics roles, ideally within facilities management, construction, or organizations operating multiple service locations.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, specifically Power Query, pivot tables, and formula creation.
  • Experience using business intelligence software like Power BI or its equivalents.
  • Hands-on familiarity with ERP platforms such as Oracle or SAP managing procurement, inventory, and master data.
  • Knowledge of Saudi regulatory mandates including but not limited to ZATCA e-invoicing and WPS/GOSI data integration is beneficial.
  • Possession of certifications in data analytics, Power BI, or recognized supply chain certificates such as CSCA or CIPS Level 3 or 4 adds value.
