Position Overview
Giffen Consulting Ltd., a reputable Canadian engineering firm with offices in Vancouver and Toronto, is seeking a Structural Drafter to join their team on a full-time hybrid schedule, requiring at least three days per week at the Toronto office. This role is designed for an intermediate to senior level professional with strong potential for career growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed structural drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Autodesk Advance Steel.
- Create general arrangement, detail, and erection drawings specific to structural projects.
- Maintain and build 3D structural models for mining and heavy industrial applications.
- Produce plans, elevations, sections, and detailed views derived from structural models.
- Organize and update drawing sets to facilitate review, approval, and on-site construction activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a diploma in Structural Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
- Status as a Registered Applied Science Technologist in Canada or eligibility to register.
- At least three years of growing experience as a Structural Drafter focused on Mining and Heavy Industrial projects.
- Experience with both greenfield and brownfield open-pit and underground mining projects.
- Competency in producing 2D and 3D drawings, plot plans, profiles, and detailed design elements.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Autodesk Advance Steel is advantageous.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Capability to communicate design concepts effectively to clients.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
