Role overview

The Sr. Partner Manager, Strategic Partnerships (Senior Care) owns relationships with software and technology partners that have embedded, or want to embed, their solutions into the PointClickCare platform for Skilled Nursing Facilities and Senior Living Facilities. The role works across the business to identify, develop, negotiate, and close partnerships that create measurable value and support new business growth in senior care.

This position partners with senior leadership, Marketing, Product, Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy, and Go-To-Market teams to turn complex business questions into concrete partnership initiatives. The role also serves as a subject matter expert for new business lines and helps drive launches and growth programs.

Location and travel expectations

This role is open to remote candidates in the US or Canada, as well as candidates based in Mississauga, Ontario (Head Office).

For remote positions, travel to the Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City offices may be required for onboarding, team events, and semi-annual or annual meetings. Hybrid roles require living within commuting distance of the listed office and attending regular in-office team events.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with Product, Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy, and Go-To-Market leaders to shape ambiguous business questions into partner-led projects with clear action plans.
  • Run cross-functional efforts to analyze opportunities for large-scale new business recommendations and present results to executive leadership in a clear, concise way.
  • Manage partnerships from early identification through negotiation, close, and product launch, using build/buy/partner thinking that accounts for resourcing, investment, and strategy.
  • Develop business cases, financial models, project plans, market studies, and competitive analyses.
  • Interview vendors, customers, and industry leaders to strengthen market insight and subject-matter expertise.
  • Find, draft, negotiate, and implement business development agreements that deliver measurable business impact.
  • Represent the partnership team in discussions with executives from partner organizations.
  • Keep partnership activity, meetings, interactions, and related materials updated in Salesforce.

Required experience and qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) is required; an MBA is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in business strategy and/or partnership management at a SaaS or software company, or in strategy consulting.
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to prioritize and resolve partner-related issues effectively.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, always-on environment.
  • Highly organized, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate complex initiatives successfully.
  • Confidence in reviewing, understanding, and applying contractual terms.
  • Solid technical awareness, or a strong curiosity and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Background in acute care is an advantage.

Compensation and benefits

The US base salary range for this role is $174,000 to $193,000, plus bonus and benefits. The position is non-overtime eligible. Compensation is determined by role level, relevant skills, experience, and work location.
