Spoken English Trainer

Overview

The role of a Spoken English Trainer, also called a Change Maker at SGBS Unnati Foundation, is vital to fostering transformation among youth and communities served by the organization. This full-time position is based in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh and requires immediate joining. Trainers are expected to energize youth, support their development, and help them embrace future opportunities.

Primary Duties

• Lead training sessions following course content as guided by Senior Change Makers and coordinate closely with them to clarify program delivery.
• Maintain classroom discipline and ensure punctuality among students while engaging them actively during discussions and activities.
• Monitor student progress and provide additional assistance to those who require extra help.
• Work collaboratively with Head Office, counselors, and placement officers to meet enrollment and placement targets within deadlines.
• Conduct community outreach activities to enroll prospective students and engage parents or guardians by explaining the program and placement process.
• Build relationships with local NGOs and raise awareness by participating in community events.
• Maintain ongoing contact with alumni at 90, 180, and 365-day intervals to monitor their development and solicit program referrals.
• Oversee daily center administration, including assembly leadership, expense and cash management, reporting to Head Office, and ensuring smooth operational issues such as hardware, software, utility, and rental management.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure center functions independently and efficiently, exemplifying the organization's core values and communication practices.
• Capture and share impact and success stories for social media dissemination, ensuring alignment with official Unnati posts and wider sharing within personal networks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in any discipline.
• 0-2 years of professional experience in either private or development sectors.
• Proficiency in English and local languages is necessary.
• Strong communication skills, team collaboration abilities, and facilitation expertise.
• Computer literacy, including basic accounting and familiarity with Tally software.
• Coordination and organizational skills suited for managing operations and activities effectively.

Compensation

The remuneration for this role ranges from INR 18,000 to INR 20,000 per month.
