Role Overview

The Software Test Engineer will ensure the quality and dependability of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) applications. This involves creating and maintaining automated test solutions, supporting QA procedures, and collaborating across teams to deliver reliable and scalable ERP systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement QA strategies tailored to F&O project requirements.
  • Create, execute, and sustain test cases, automation scripts, and regression suites for functional, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
  • Validate batch jobs, workflows, and business processes throughout F&O modules.
  • Design and maintain automated test scripts leveraging tools like Leapwork, Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
  • Enhance automation frameworks focusing on scalability and ease of maintenance.
  • Run automated regression tests and analyze results for failures.
  • Manage defects by identifying, documenting, tracking, and participating in root cause and triage discussions.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and other stakeholders within Agile sprint ceremonies and assist in UAT activities.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines by executing automated test suites and helping with build validation and release testing.
  • Maintain QA documentation including test artifacts, execution reports, and defect logs, and communicate quality metrics and risks effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience with test automation tools such as Leapwork, Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, or Robot Framework.
  • Programming knowledge in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks like Page Object Model (POM) or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Basic understanding of Dynamics 365 F&O modules including Finance, Supply Chain, or Project Operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in an Agile environment and eagerness to learn new tools and technologies.

Preferred Experience and Certifications

  • 4 to 7 years in software testing with at least 2 to 3 years focused on automation testing.
  • Experience testing ERP or enterprise applications.
  • Basic knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter.
  • Understanding of data validation, integration, and data migration testing.
  • Experience automating tests in cloud-based environments.
  • Optional certifications include ISTQB or equivalent QA certifications and familiarity with Dynamics 365 certifications (MB-310, MB-320, MB-330).
