Overview
The Site Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing daily activities at construction or project sites. This position ensures tasks are completed safely, punctually, within budget limits, and in accordance with established quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise day-to-day site operations and workforce activities.
- Track project progress to guarantee completion as per plans and timelines.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Inspect workmanship quality to confirm compliance with project specifications.
- Efficiently handle labor, materials, machinery, and on-site assets.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and clients.
- Perform regular site inspections and prepare detailed progress reports.
- Address on-site challenges, including delays and operational issues.
- Maintain accurate site documentation including attendance and reports.
- Oversee appropriate use and upkeep of tools and equipment.
- Monitor inventory and coordinate material procurement as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to site personnel on safety protocols and work procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred.
- Prior experience in construction, maintenance, or infrastructure projects expected.
- Familiarity with construction techniques, materials, and safety standards.
- Capability to interpret technical drawings and project plans.
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication abilities.
- Competence in safety compliance, problem-solving, time management, and quality control.
- Experience with reporting, documentation, and resource planning.
- Certification in construction safety or project management is advantageous.
- Experience using construction management software is preferred.
- Knowledge of local building regulations and codes is beneficial.
Working Conditions and Reporting
The position involves on-site work primarily at construction or project locations. It may require extended working hours, weekend shifts, or travel depending on project needs. Reporting hierarchy includes Project Manager, Construction Manager, or Site Engineer.
