Site Manager

About the Role

Our client is an expanding property development and construction company focused on delivering high-standard residential and commercial projects throughout Galway City. Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking an experienced Site Foreman / Site Manager to supervise multiple active construction sites. This role requires a hands-on leader who takes charge in ensuring quality, safety, and timely project completion while leading site teams directly.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across several construction sites.
• Coordinate efforts between subcontractors, direct labor, and manage site logistics.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, within timelines, and according to specifications.
• Conduct quality inspections to uphold high construction standards.
• Track progress through construction management platforms such as Buildertrend, Procore, or similar software.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, design teams, and subcontractors.
• Maintain comprehensive site documentation including progress reports and Health & Safety records.
• Lead toolbox talks promoting a strong safety culture among teams.
• Plan upcoming tasks proactively and identify potential schedule risks early.

Requirements

• A minimum of five years' experience in the roles of Site Foreman, General Foreman, or Site Manager.
• Substantial hands-on construction knowledge across concrete, blockwork, carpentry, groundworks, and finishing trades.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
• Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experienced with digital construction management tools.
• Holder of a full clean driving license, Safe Pass, and Manual Handling certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior involvement in residential or mixed-use development projects.
• Familiarity with BCAR (Building Control Amendment Regulations) requirements.
• Experience overseeing subcontractor packages.
• Certifications like First Aid and CSCS/Supervisory cards.
• Competency with Buildertrend, Procore, and Microsoft 365 applications.
