About the Role
This permanent position based in Masterton, New Zealand, offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the betterment of the education sector by improving outcomes and reducing disparities for young learners. The Service Manager will lead and inspire a dedicated professional team delivering various Learning Support services to children and youth. Collaborating closely with families, communities, early childhood centers, schools, Kura Kaupapa Māori, and other Māori medium environments, the role focuses on enhancing inclusive practices and elevating student success to meet community aspirations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive Learning Support services.
- Collaborate with diverse educational and community stakeholders to support inclusive education and improve student achievement.
- Advocate for change and motivate others through clear vision and personal leadership within a cooperative setting.
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams in complex service environments.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic work plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Experience fostering a collaborative culture centered on continuous improvement.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a related field, with postgraduate credentials preferred, or equivalent practical expertise.
- Must hold a valid full driver’s license due to regional travel requirements.
- Commitment to uphold the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

This group provides integrated, well-designed educational services supporting effective operations in learning settings to enhance student participation and success. It focuses on eliminating barriers to education through service coordination, offering regulatory guidance, and promoting consistent practice across regions with autonomy. - Practice & Guidance: Enhancing national coordination, consistent standards, and regional delivery autonomy.
- Integration & Delivery: Directly supporting education providers with regional and national services, maintaining high standards, and strengthening stakeholder relationships.

Additional Information
Salary for this position ranges from $120,193 to $140,482 annually, alongside KiwiSaver benefits. The final salary offer will correspond to the candidate’s experience and skills.
