Job description
Position Overview
We are recruiting a Service Manager for the Levin District Court, a permanent full-time role reporting directly to the Manager of Justice Services for Manawatu & Wairarapa. This leadership position involves coaching and supporting team members to enhance their capabilities and fostering a culture centered on high performance. The incumbent will be accountable for managing service delivery to ensure operational quality and consistency throughout their team and the broader Service Delivery Area.
Key Responsibilities
The role requires an energetic and enthusiastic leader skilled in managing diverse teams. The Service Manager must build and nurture strong, effective relationships both internally and with external stakeholders including the Judiciary. They are charged with promoting a culture of high performance characterized by standardization, consistency, and accountability, founded on core values such as respect, integrity, service, and excellence.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in operational management.
- Leadership capabilities to inspire and guide staff towards meeting targets and understanding their broader impact.
- Demonstrated success in supporting and leading changes in business and work processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment involving multiple stakeholders.
- Resilience and confidence in managing a public-facing role.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is between $99,208 and $135,539 annually, determined by qualifications and experience.
