Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the utmost safety of the construction site, prioritizing it above all other considerations at all times.
  • Manage the safety of the workforce including both direct employees and subcontractors.
  • Review and verify plans and drawings while supervising subcontractors throughout the project.
  • Plan all tasks efficiently to guarantee deadlines are strictly adhered to.
  • Oversee quality assurance procedures and maintain high standards of quality on site.
  • Address unexpected technical challenges in collaboration with Design Managers and resolve any arising issues effectively.
  • Respond to technical inquiries and coordinate with clients, consultants, and architects on Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Participate in meetings with clients, architects, and consultants, providing timely progress updates.
  • Coordinate efforts among consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and other key project participants.
  • Handle quality management duties alongside BCAR (Building Control Amendment Regulations) coordination.
  • Implement energy management practices to ensure site operations align with the company’s energy program.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Over 10 years of experience in healthcare, commercial, or residential construction, preferably within a main or specialist contracting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the construction industry and proven expertise in project execution.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well within teams and foster effective relationships across organizational levels.
  • Confident leader with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with computer software including MS Office, Excel, and project scheduling tools such as MS Project or similar.
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety and quality management protocols.
  • Capable of leading, mentoring, and inspiring team members and colleagues.
  • Trade background is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
