Job description
About Affirm and the Role
Affirm aims to transform credit by providing honest and transparent financing options that allow consumers to buy now and pay later without hidden fees or compounded interest. Our global customers seek secure and transparent payment solutions, while merchants aim to offer preferred payment methods that boost conversion rates. To advance this mission, we are hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead the 1:Many Growth team, focused on Affirm's Distribution Partnerships program. Instead of partnering with merchants individually, this initiative involves integrating once with platform software, thereby enabling access to multiple merchants via a single integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of Affirm's partner portfolio by simplifying and streamlining merchant onboarding to adopt Affirm as a payment option. This includes managing existing vertical software partnerships and expanding the portfolio by establishing new platform partnerships.
- Develop and execute a Partner Acceleration Strategy that builds scalable and repeatable capabilities, allowing faster and easier future partner integrations rather than addressing each partner in isolation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as commercial, merchant risk, design, product analytics, and engineering to define, implement, and expand platform partner integrations.
- Engage with platform partners to collect feedback and metrics, using these insights to drive merchant growth and enhance product performance.
- Define, prioritize, and oversee product feature requirements to optimize the experience for customers, partners, and merchants.
- Maintain and manage the product roadmap for the 1:Many Growth initiative.
- Establish and track success metrics and OKRs to evaluate the effectiveness of growth initiatives.
- Partner with commercial and product marketing teams to devise go-to-market strategies for newly integrated partners and product features.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience managing multiple technical software products throughout their lifecycle, delivering meaningful business results.
- Comfort working hands-on with engineers on technical details, iterating designs with designers, and analyzing data with analysts to resolve funnel issues.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills capable of effectively navigating complex organizational dynamics.
- Highly outcomes-driven with a strong bias for action, adept at overcoming obstacles and delivering results.
- Ability to transform incomplete, ambiguous, or conflicting information into actionable plans.
- Track record of shipping high-quality products on time.
- Confidence and competence in commercial product aspects, including managing external relations, setting expectations, and influencing beneficial outcomes for Affirm and partners.
- Preferred experience in Fintech, Lending, E-commerce, or Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) sectors.
Compensation and Benefits
The role falls under Pay Grade N and Equity Grade 6. Base salary ranges from $153,000 to $213,000 annually, with new hires typically starting at the lower end of the range, contingent on factors like location, skillset, and experience.
The total compensation package may also include monthly stipends for health, wellness, and technology expenses, along with comprehensive benefits such as 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents. Equity awards through Affirm Holdings, Inc. may also be available.
Work Environment
Affirm is a remote-first workplace, allowing mostly location-independent roles. Employees in nearby roles may occasionally need to work onsite but generally enjoy flexible remote arrangements.
Additional Benefits
- Health care coverage fully funded for employees and their dependents.
- Generous flexible spending stipends for technology, food, lifestyle, and family-forming expenses.
- Competitive vacation and holiday policies to support work-life balance.
- Employee Stock Purchase Plan offering discounted purchase of Affirm shares.
Diversity and Inclusion
Affirm commits to an inclusive hiring experience, offering reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. The company also complies with fair chance hiring ordinances for certain U.S. locations.
