About the Role
The Senior P&O Lead for Global Total Rewards will be a key member of the Group Total Rewards team, based in Essen or Hedehusene. This role focuses on designing, developing, and executing global compensation and benefits programs, policies, and processes aligned with the company's goals and operational needs. Serving as a center of expertise, the position collaborates with business partners and other centers of excellence to advise on and provide solutions related to global total rewards strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and rollout of global rewards initiatives, including annual salary review, incentive programs, and grading structures to attract and retain talent.
- Drive initiatives to standardize and improve processes, including digitizing workflows such as implementing annual salary reviews via SuccessFactors.
- Develop global frameworks to ensure compliance with compensation-related regulations, including the EU Pay Transparency directive.
- Partner with P&O Business Partners to understand requirements, offer guidance on pay competitiveness, best practices, and market benchmarks.
- Contribute to enhancing total rewards expertise and capabilities across the global P&O organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree with 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in total rewards, preferably within an international, multi-country environment.
- Solid knowledge of global compensation and benefits principles, trends, and best practices.
- Familiarity with job evaluation tools and surveys such as Mercer, Willis Towers Watson (WTW), or Korn Ferry frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in multi-country and cross-functional settings.
- Experience in rewards consulting is a plus.
- Strong project management skills within cross-functional projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities with the aptitude to clearly convey complex topics.
- Analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and keen attention to detail.
