Role Overview
This position offers a remarkable opportunity to contribute within a company that highly values its people and customers. As a Senior Microsoft 365 Specialist, you will play a pivotal role within our Microsoft 365 Centre of Excellence across New Zealand, blending leadership, client relationship management, and technical solution delivery.
The specialist acts as the primary technical escalation resource supporting our Modern Workplace services consumers. You will take charge of guiding our business and customers towards better adoption and ongoing enhancements of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering Microsoft 365 enablement and productivity solutions addressing data, file, communications, collaboration, security, identity, and access management needs.
- Supporting technology domains including Microsoft identity management (Azure AD, AD Connect, ADFS, Microsoft Identity Manager).
- Managing Office 365 collaboration tools such as Teams, Planner, Groups, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Yammer.
- Implementing and supporting collaboration and video conferencing platforms including Teams and third-party systems like Poly, Cisco, and Zoom.
- Gaining familiarity with competitor collaboration platforms.
- Administering email security and archiving platforms like Office 365 ATP/EOP, Mimecast, and AvePoint.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident due to clearance requirements.
- Previous professional experience within an ICT Professional Services environment is mandatory.
- Demonstrated deep expertise as a Microsoft 365 Engineer, including thorough knowledge of Office 365 collaboration services:
- Exchange Online mailbox management and protection
- Microsoft Teams administration
- SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business management
- Proficient understanding of Azure AD identity management and associated objects such as users, traditional security and distribution groups, Office 365 groups, devices, and guest users.
- Working knowledge of Azure AD authentication technologies including Azure AD Connect, Password Hash Sync, Pass-through Authentication, Seamless Single Sign-On, ADFS, Azure Multi-Factor Authentication, and Self-Service Password Reset.
