Senior Manager - Operations Risk

About the Role

Red Sea Global is seeking a Senior Manager for Operations Risk in Riyadh. This position plays a key part in bringing together risk information from operational destinations, subsidiaries, and enablers into a single enterprise-level view. The role also supports the creation of dashboards and risk registers covering operational subsidiaries, assets, activities, enablers, and the wider Operations Risk Profile.

Job Purpose

The main objective of this role is to ensure risk information from the operational side is properly integrated and consolidated from the destination, subsidiary, and enabler levels to the enterprise level.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to setting team goals, initiatives, and plans, then track progress against them.
• Oversee daily operations, ensure policies and procedures are implemented, and suggest improvements where needed.
• Support planning and management of annual budget needs, including financial and workforce requirements.
• Lead, coach, and support team members so they can perform effectively and continue developing.
• Help maintain the Operations Risk Management policy, procedures, and processes in line with ISO 31000, while keeping alignment across operational areas.
• Implement the approved Operations risk rollout plan once it has been cleared by the Risk Director.
• Monitor execution of agreed mitigation plans.
• Build an overall view of risks affecting the major Operations processes.
• Develop the systemic Operations risk profile.
• Serve as the secretariat for the Operations Risk Panel (ORP).
• Review risks identified across operational assets and ensure material issues are consolidated and escalated appropriately to the Risk Director.
• Work with Corporate, Projects Delivery, and Development risk teams to ensure risks are transferred and owned correctly across the value chain.
• Collaborate with Operations teams to discuss events that may create losses or missed opportunities.
• Facilitate risk assessment workshops and meetings for Operations.
• Support risk owners in preparing risk treatment plans.
• Review consolidated risk treatment strategies and identify opportunities for enterprise-level improvement and better resource use.
• Prepare dashboards and reports to communicate risk status.
• Track compliance with risk management processes and assess how effective those processes are within RSG Operations.
• Monitor whether consolidated operational risk treatment plans are being implemented on time and with the intended impact.
• Identify learning needs related to risk.
• Create and deliver training content for Risk Champions to strengthen risk awareness.
• Advise the Risk Director on awareness content such as emails, brochures, and screen savers for the wider business.
• Share risk knowledge and proven practices with the ERM function.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Professional certification in Risk Management or Risk Assurance from a recognized international body such as IRM or IIA.
• 8 to 10 years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management and/or risk-based internal audit.
• At least 3 years of that experience should come from working with a consulting firm such as EY, Deloitte, or PwC.
• Strong hands-on experience with ERM frameworks such as ISO 31000 or COSO ERM.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
