Role Overview

The Senior Delivery Manager will lead the delivery of customer-centric technology initiatives across domains like cloud, data, AI, analytics, and application development. This position is tailored for professionals with backgrounds in Software Engineering, Technical or Engineering Leadership, or Solution Architecture who have advanced into Delivery Management and Agile leadership. The role demands combining technical expertise with leadership skills to collaborate with clients, product owners, architects, and engineering teams, ensuring the successful completion of complex technology transformations with measurable business impacts.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage delivery of software, cloud, data, and AI transformation projects aligning with customer goals.
• Develop project scope, timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and success measures.
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks, technical dependencies, and resource limitations to maintain reliable execution.
• Monitor project health, team performance, financials, and customer satisfaction metrics.
• Ensure timely, budget-compliant, and quality delivery of projects.
• Initiate and promote continuous improvements in delivery processes and team efficiencies.
• Oversee multiple simultaneous projects across geographies.
• Lead Agile practices by coaching teams on Scrum and Agile methodologies, facilitating ceremonies, and fostering accountability and collaboration.
• Remove delivery blockers and support Agile maturity improvement.
• Work closely with Product Owners for efficient backlog and sprint planning.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, product teams, and engineering leadership to translate business objectives into executable delivery plans.
• Participate in technical discussions, architectural reviews, and solution strategies.
• Support engineering teams in balancing delivery targets with quality, scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Offer oversight on complex enterprise initiatives such as cloud modernization, analytics, and digital transformation.
• Build and maintain trusted client and stakeholder relationships, manage governance meetings, and communicate project updates effectively.
• Drive governance frameworks, best practices adoption, capacity planning, and mentoring within delivery teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of cumulative experience across software engineering, technical leadership, project/program delivery, or program management.
• At least 3 years in roles such as Delivery Manager, Technical Delivery Manager, Program Manager, Scrum Master, or Engineering Delivery Lead.
• Prior hands-on experience as Software Engineer, Technical Lead, Engineering Lead, or Solution Architect prior to transitioning into delivery roles.
• Proven record in delivering enterprise-scale programs in software, cloud, data, analytics, or AI within consulting or professional services.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum frameworks, SDLC, and delivery governance.
• Experience managing distributed, cross-functional teams and handling multiple concurrent projects.
• Understanding of system architecture, cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), APIs, microservices, and related delivery challenges.
• Experience working with cloud-native apps, data platforms, analytics, and AI/ML projects.
• Familiar with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalents.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in consulting, systems integration, professional services, or customer-focused delivery roles.
• Exposure to cloud migration, data modernization, AI/ML, GenAI, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives.
• CERTIFICATIONS such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) are advantageous.
