Role Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage campus security technologies including access control, CCTV systems, and alarms to maintain a safe campus environment.
• Ensure institutional control over all security systems, including correct configurations, access permissions, and system integrity.
• Continuously monitor security system performance to guarantee operational stability.
• Serve as the main point of contact for security system administration, handling accurate setups, system updates, and user access management.
• Maintain security system standards, protocols, and documentation to ensure uniformity and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of security systems by identifying upgrade and optimization opportunities.
• Support the integration of security platforms with other campus systems such as access and ID systems.
• Manage user access controls by provisioning, modifying, or disabling user permissions according to policy guidelines.
• Monitor CCTV operations ensuring adequate coverage, recording, and uptime.
• Oversee alarm systems to ensure proper response, configuration, and coordinate with relevant teams during alerts.
• Accurately document all security incidents and maintain logs for reporting and auditing.
• Conduct routine checks and troubleshoot security systems to minimize downtime.
• Keep detailed system documentation, logs, and user records for compliance and transparency.
• Assist investigations by providing relevant system data, footage, and access logs.

Experience and Skills Required

• 8 to 10 years of experience managing security systems, ideally in campus, institutional, or large-scale environments.
• Proficient with access control systems, CCTV platforms, and alarm technologies.
• Knowledge of integrated security systems and collaboration with IT infrastructure.
• Strong capabilities in system monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance.
• Ability to coordinate with external vendors and technical teams for system maintenance and enhancements.
• Comprehensive understanding of security protocols, access governance, and incident management workflows.
• High attention to detail in configuring systems and logging incidents.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive security information professionally.
• Problem-solving aptitude with quick response skills to system faults and security events.
