Security Agent, CCTV and Access Control

About the role

In this position, you will support airport security operations by carrying out duties inside the Airport Security Operations Centre (ASOC) as well as in the terminal building. The role involves ensuring that contracted security staff are deployed correctly in the field and that agreed standards are consistently met. During airport incidents, you will stand in for the security supervisor when needed, and you may be assigned to any workstation within the ASOC or wider operation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to security-related matters within the ASOC and terminal environment.
• Ensure contracted security personnel are assigned appropriately and perform to the required standard.
• Act as the substitute for the security supervisor during airport incidents when required.
• Be ready to work at any workstation within the ASOC or operational area based on business needs.
• Escalate incidents to the Security Supervisor promptly.
• Support and review investigations completed by agents, making sure information is accurate and clear, in line with guidance from the Head of Security.
• Carry out CCTV surveillance in the ASOC to help detect any potential unlawful interference.
• Maintain routine communication with MOI, immigration authority contractors, Qatar Airways customers, and customers of other airlines through meetings and ad hoc coordination.
• Work with external agencies and authorities on security and protection matters relating to HIA property through briefings and meetings.
• Help ensure the highest possible standards of protection and service for assets, equipment, and personnel.

Requirements

• A relevant vocational, tertiary, or trade qualification is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in a job related to this field is needed.
• Strong English communication skills are essential.
• Working knowledge of reporting processes is required.
• You should understand airport security procedures and regulations, as well as law enforcement procedures and how they are applied.
• Familiarity with IATA security principles and standards is needed.
• You should have knowledge of current security technology.
• Understanding of CCTV systems, their use, and related concepts is required.
