About the company
Nscale is creating the delivery backbone for the AI era. The company is focused on sovereign generative AI infrastructure, supported by next-generation, high-performance and environmentally conscious data centers and GPU platforms purpose-built for AI workloads.
As global demand for AI compute and GPU capacity accelerates, Nscale is building the systems and partnerships needed to support this growth. The company works with leading AI technology providers and integrates advanced compute hardware and GPU clusters across both partner and Nscale-built facilities, with the goal of scaling quickly across Europe and beyond.
Role overview
Nscale is looking for a scheduler who takes ownership of the master plan rather than simply reformatting vendor timelines. In this role, you will independently build the integrated deployment schedule, pressure-test inputs from vendors such as Dell Professional Services, and keep senior stakeholders informed through a clear schedule pulse that highlights progress, risks, and decisions needed.
The role sits within a fast-scaling environment with multiple deployments running at the same time. You will need to manage that complexity confidently, work with incomplete information, and stay ahead of issues without waiting for direction.
Key responsibilities
- Create and own the integrated master schedule for each live deployment, using Nscale’s inputs together with vendor data instead of merely reworking a vendor-provided plan.
- Review and challenge schedules from Dell Professional Services and other vendors by spotting unrealistic timelines, missing dependencies, and gaps in the critical path, then raising issues with evidence before they affect delivery.
- Prepare a regular schedule pulse for the VP and Site PMs, summarizing movement, risks, and decisions required, even when not specifically asked.
- Protect schedule quality across all active deployments by comparing actual progress with the baseline, refreshing forecasts, and flagging variances early.
- Develop and maintain the combined dependency map across Dell’s 70% scope and Nscale’s 30% scope so that handoffs and key interfaces are visible in real time.
- Help create scheduling templates and onboarding guides for future schedulers.
- Provide schedule analysis and supporting data for leadership reports and customer-facing progress updates.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in project controls or CPM scheduling on complex infrastructure or construction programs.
- Advanced capability in MS Project, Primavera P6, or a similar CPM scheduling platform, with the ability to build schedules from the ground up.
- Strong critical path understanding, including identification of float, compression points, and cascading risks while reading schedules.
- A proactive communication style that surfaces schedule risks early rather than holding them back.
- Experience combining schedules across vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
- Comfort working autonomously in uncertain situations and producing a workable schedule from partial inputs.
- Ability to work core hours aligned to PT time zone, regardless of location.
Preferred experience
- Exposure to data center construction, AI infrastructure deployment, or critical facilities project controls.
- Knowledge of earned value management (EVM) and schedule performance index (SPI) metrics.
- Experience working in a systems integrator or professional services delivery model.
- Hands-on familiarity with Python, Power BI, or Smartsheet automation for schedule reporting.
