Scaffolding Foreman

Overview

BEC Concrete Solutions invites experienced scaffolding professionals to join our team in Riyadh as a Scaffolding Foreman. This role is integral to executing prominent construction projects across the Kingdom, ensuring that scaffolding activities are carried out with the highest safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Role Summary

As a Scaffolding Foreman, your responsibilities will include overseeing the setup, modification, inspection, and removal of scaffolding structures. Working closely with site managers, engineers, and skilled labor, you will help deliver major infrastructure and building projects efficiently while adhering to safety regulations and industry standards such as the Saudi Building Code (SBC), OSHA, and ISO 45001.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation, adjustment, and dismantling of scaffolding to comply with safety norms and project plans.
• Conduct inspections of scaffolding materials and structures to verify compliance with quality and safety criteria before deployment.
• Coordinate with site management and engineering teams to plan scaffolding needs aligned with project timelines.
• Ensure strict conformity with Saudi Building Code, OSHA, and ISO 45001 requirements during all scaffolding operations.
• Provide training and guidance to scaffolding crews on safety practices, proper handling, and operational techniques.
• Monitor on-site scaffolding work to recognize and address potential hazards promptly.
• Maintain detailed documentation including inspection reports, certifications, and inventory records.
• Work collaboratively with other construction teams to ensure scaffolding meets technical specifications and deadlines.
• Initiate corrective measures to rectify any identified scaffolding insufficiencies or unsafe practices.
• Promote a workplace culture focused on safety by enforcing PPE usage and adherence to safety policies.
• Prepare and submit daily progress updates, safety issues, and other relevant reports to supervisors.

Candidate Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certification in scaffolding or construction is advantageous.
• At least 5 years of experience overseeing scaffolding operations in a foreman or similar supervisory role.
• Mandatory possession of a recognized Scaffolding Supervisor Certification.
• Comprehensive understanding of OSHA, ISO 45001, and Saudi Building Code safety standards.
• Proven background in working on major infrastructure or construction projects.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and scaffolding plans effectively.
• Familiarity with scaffolding equipment, materials, and associated tools.
• Strong leadership skills coupled with effective communication and organizational capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to large-scale projects aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives.
• Additional safety certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are desirable.
• Knowledge of sustainable building standards like Mostadam or LEED.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English to facilitate communication.
• Previous involvement with ARAMCO-approved or similar high compliance projects.

Working Environment

• Primarily based on active construction sites within Riyadh.
• Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment including hard hats, safety harnesses, and steel-toed boots.
• Exposure to harsh weather conditions typical in the region, such as extreme heat.
• Potential for extended working hours, including weekends to adhere to project deadlines.
• Frequent activities involve standing, climbing, and working at elevated heights.
