Job description

Position Overview

As a Rooms Controller at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts located on Ummahat Island 1, Red Sea, Saudi Arabia, you will manage guest check-ins by confirming identities and payment methods, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys accurately. You will establish precise accounts based on guest requirements, enter Marriott Rewards details, verify applicable rates and exceptions, and secure payments before issuing keys. Your tasks include preparing and reviewing daily logs and cashier reports, providing guests with directions and property details, and handling guest requests by liaising with relevant departments to fulfill them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process all guest arrivals, validating identity and payment information.
  • Assign rooms and issue room keys with accurate account setup.
  • Handle Marriott Rewards data entry and ensure corporate and market rate compliance.
  • Ensure payments are secured in advance and billing is correct.
  • Compile daily operations reports, perform cashier closing reports, and reconcile receipts.
  • Provide property guidance and respond to guest inquiries and requests.
  • Process payments, vouchers, payouts, and charges accurately.
  • Maintain and balance the cash bank at shift start and end.
  • Obtain authorizations and comply with all accounting policies.
  • Report theft incidents promptly to Loss Prevention or Security.
  • Support management by training, evaluating, coaching, and motivating staff while fostering a cooperative and positive work environment consistent with company policies.
  • Maintain professional conduct, including safety adherence, appearance standards, confidentiality, and asset protection.
  • Welcome and assist guests, including individuals with disabilities, demonstrating clear communication and hospitality excellence.
  • Handle administrative duties such as telephone etiquette, document preparation, and point-of-sale operations.
  • Perform physical job requirements such as standing, walking, and handling items up to 10 pounds.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least one year of relevant work experience.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • No specific licenses or certifications required.
