About the Role

An opening is available for a Room Care Technician in the Engineering team at Jumeirah Jabal Omar.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose room-related faults, gather the required tools and equipment, and complete repairs efficiently.
• Carry out in-room maintenance work such as electrical fixes, furniture adjustments, and minor repair tasks.
• Respond to guest and colleague questions in a courteous manner and address room care issues quickly.
• Finish allocated work orders and room checks, while keeping clear records of all completed tasks.
• Select appropriate tools and spare parts from stores and maintain accurate records of materials used.
• Escalate visible room damage to supervisors and suggest suitable corrective actions.

Candidate Profile

The right candidate should bring 1 to 2 years of experience in the same position within a luxury 5-star hotel or similar property. Secondary schooling is required, while vocational certification and trade qualifications are an added advantage. The role also calls for solid technical trade knowledge, basic computer skills, and awareness of safety procedures and building systems. Good English communication is necessary, along with the ability to work independently and adapt to different working environments.
