Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Recycle Coordinator to join our manufacturing team in Waycross, Georgia. This role is vital in enhancing our sustainability initiatives by overseeing recycling operations, maintaining organized and safe recycling areas, and ensuring efficient handling of recyclable materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, sort, and transport recyclable materials across the manufacturing facility.
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling machinery safely and effectively.
  • Manage recycling bins and coordinate timely removal of recyclables.
  • Keep recycling zones clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Monitor waste streams, identifying opportunities to optimize recycling processes.
  • Liaise with recycling vendors to schedule pickups and assist with inventory records.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports pertaining to recycling activities.
  • Contribute to plant housekeeping and environmental compliance efforts.
  • Assist with general facility cleaning and special projects as needed.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and environmental regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, warehousing, recycling, or material handling is preferred.
  • Forklift certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic computer literacy and recordkeeping skills preferred.
  • Good communication abilities for coordination within teams.
  • Dedication to workplace safety and environmental stewardship.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Engage in standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching throughout the workday.
  • Operate safely in a manufacturing environment with variable temperature and noise conditions.
  • Operate machinery and perform manual labor tasks as required.
