Job description
Role Overview
This position involves inspecting stamped components using various precision measuring devices and ensuring adherence to quality standards through detailed analysis and problem-solving methods.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of stamped parts utilizing instruments such as Profile Projector, Tool Makers Microscope, Video Measuring System (VMS), Force Gauge, Vernier Calipers, and Micrometers.
- Possess familiarity with SAP for managing inward and outward material transactions.
- Apply knowledge of statistical tools, engineering print reading, mistake-proofing methods, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and problem-solving techniques.
- Utilize both mechanical and electronic standard measuring instruments effectively.
- Interpret engineering drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), specifications, First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation, and reports accurately.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and vendor teams to address and resolve quality-related concerns.
- Adapt to shift schedules based on operational requirements.
- Manage nonconformities by employing quality control tools.
- Maintain strong communication and coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Authority and Quality Activities
- Responsible for First Article (FA), Setup, Patrol and Final Inspection, Line and Dock Audits as part of executing incoming quality activities.
