Quality Control Inspector

Job Overview

This role involves conducting thorough visual inspections, jig verifications, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) following the test plans and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS). The Quality Control Inspector will coordinate closely with various departments to address any quality-related concerns and ensure compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed visual inspections, jig verifications, and NDT according to specified plans and WPS requirements.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation and inspection reports to support quality control processes.
• Ensure all measurement and inspection equipment are properly calibrated and maintained.
• Undertake any additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 2 years of practical experience in welding inspection.
• Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Solid understanding of ISO 9606 and ISO 5817 standards applicable to weld quality.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word, to prepare inspection documentation.
• Certified at Level II in VT/PT/MT by recognized bodies (ASNT or PCN).
• Certified at Level II in UT/PAUT by PCN.
• Holder of recognized Welding Inspection Certification such as AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1.
• Passed Visual Acuity Test meeting industry criteria.
• Capable of working independently, demonstrating strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communicator in basic spoken and written English needed for work coordination and report writing.
• Willing to work rotating night shifts and overtime as needed to support operational requirements.
