Quality Assurance Analyst

About the Role

Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America (MBRDNA) is dedicated to pioneering advanced automotive technologies that redefine the driving experience while minimizing environmental impact. Our Atlanta facility seeks a Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure superior quality in our connected car mobile applications, serving U.S. customers and supporting Mercedes-Benz’s latest EV models.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed test cases for iOS and Android applications based on user stories.
• Conduct functional testing of mobile applications including integration with features like Alexa and Google Assistant.
• Collaborate closely onsite with engineering teams throughout all phases of development to fully understand requirements.
• Provide quality assurance insights to developers during design and implementation to enhance code quality and test coverage.
• Manage installation, operation, and upkeep of all testing devices and test vehicles.
• Document and track defects with thorough reporting and perform retesting as per customer guidelines.
• Effectively communicate progress and obstacles during team meetings and status updates.
• Lead status presentations with product owners and stakeholders, delivering comprehensive testing and defect reports.
• Analyze system logs to investigate issues and report problems.
• Ensure mobile applications meet high standards for performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Work collaboratively to define, design, and deploy new features while maintaining code quality and automation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Software or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance.
• Familiarity with defect management tools such as STARC, Confluence, Jira, and Azure Log Analytics.
• Hands-on experience testing both Android and iOS mobile applications.
• Ability to capture logs on iOS and Android, monitor crashes, and generate issue tickets proactively.
• Strong understanding of mobile technologies and user interface/user experience standards.
• Knowledge of mobile design principles and interface guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree focused on Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related fields.

Additional Information

This position may require handling export-controlled technology and materials subject to U.S. Export Administration and International Traffic in Arms Regulations, potentially necessitating export licenses.

Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.
