QA Lead - Automation for Banking Implementation Projects

Job Overview and Responsibilities

We are conducting a walk-in recruitment for a Senior QA Lead to oversee quality assurance activities for customer implementation projects and maintain integrity of internal products like TestNova. The role demands steering QA planning, managing test execution, and enforcing quality governance throughout various implementation phases.

• Lead and manage QA strategy including planning, test execution, and monitoring quality across implementation engagements.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies, scenarios, detailed test cases, defect tracking, and produce insightful test reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business users, developers, project managers, and customers during System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and deployment phases.
• Ensure thorough coverage across functional, integration, and regression testing domains.
• Mentor and guide junior QA professionals, driving continuous improvement in testing methodologies and processes.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years experience in QA with at least 3 years in a lead or senior QA role.
• Proven involvement in software implementation projects.
• Expertise in functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, UAT facilitation, and defect lifecycle management.
• Strong capability to interface with project and customer teams, efficiently managing testing schedules and deliverables.

Desirable Skills

• Hands-on experience with test automation and frameworks/tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
• Background in banking, financial services, core banking, lending, payments, or enterprise software implementations.
• Exposure to performance testing, API testing, and utilization of test management tools is advantageous.
