Role Overview

The Purchasing Officer will be based on-site in Doha and will oversee the entire procurement cycle for Margin Plus Management's brands. Primary duties include reviewing purchase requests, preparing purchase orders, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing, and ensuring timely procurement of goods and services. This role also involves monitoring inventory levels, analyzing purchasing metrics, and collaborating closely with operations, finance, and kitchen teams to align purchasing strategies with organizational needs. Maintaining accurate procurement records, adhering to company policies, and supporting improvements in purchasing procedures are essential facets of this position.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Comprehensive understanding of procurement processes, managing purchase requisitions, and order processing.
• Skilled negotiation abilities concerning contracts, pricing, terms, and service agreements with suppliers and vendors.
• Proficient analytical capabilities to assess supplier performance, cost comparisons, and procurement reporting.
• Experience in procurement within hospitality, food services, or FMCG sectors is highly advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively on-site in Doha and coordinate with various cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management with familiarity in MS Office and basic ERP or procurement software.
• Preferred education includes a diploma or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or similar fields.
