Overview
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) role at 818 Business Solutions involves managing the company's engagements and regulatory compliance with Qatari government bodies, focusing on governmental liaison rather than media relations. This position ensures that 818 and its employees remain fully compliant with all required documentation and supports PRO services provided to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage processing and renewal of Qatar ID cards (QIDs), work visas, and associated documentation for 818 employees.
- Oversee renewals of the company's commercial registration (CR) and submit filings to the Ministry of Commerce.
- Act as liaison with the Ministry of Interior (Metrash2 platform) and Ministry of Labour (MADLSA e-contract system) on matters concerning the company and its workforce.
- Maintain a detailed compliance schedule to ensure all licenses, permits, and registrations are renewed punctually with zero deadlines missed.
- Provide assistance with degree attestation and legalization of documents for new employee onboardings, when necessary.
- Deliver PRO-related services for clients under contracts executed by 818 Business Solutions.
- Coordinate and maintain relationships with typing centers, courier service providers, and government entities.
- Keep the executive leadership updated on regulatory changes that affect corporate or client operations.
Performance Metrics
- Timeliness of QID and visa processing in line with government standards.
- Accuracy and acceptance rate of government submissions with minimal errors or rejections.
- Strict adherence to the compliance calendar ensuring no renewal or expiration oversights.
- Client satisfaction levels regarding PRO services rendered on their behalf.
- Efficient management of government service fees, avoiding unnecessary penalties or expedited expenses.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- At least 2 to 4 years’ experience in PRO or government relations within Qatar.
- Proficiency and practical knowledge of Hukoomi, Metrash2, and MADLSA government systems.
- Fluent in Arabic (both spoken and written) to facilitate direct liaison and government documentation.
- Possession of a valid Qatari driving license.
- High level of attention to detail and the ability to work reliably within process-oriented deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Established connections within relevant governmental ministries and service centers.
- Experience administering PRO services on behalf of clients through an agency.
- Familiarity with Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) or free-zone registration processes.
- Background in paralegal or legal administration work.
